I still don't fully understand the star system, and the ranks (i did read the topic about the rank system but it still left me a little confused...) Perhaps you (ozmoid) should make a whole section for questions about the forum...
anyway, just a suggestion. The forums are PERFECT except for that one detail.

Star colors:
RED - Administrator
BLUE - Moderator (all forums)
GREEN - Moderator (specific forums)
YELLOW - Forum Member

The number of stars denote your rank, based on Post count. You start out as a Grip (these are all based on theater/film jobs), and at 250 posts you become a Key Grip. 1,000 posts will turn you into a Gaffer, followed by Production Assistant, First Assistant Director, and finally Director at 10,000 posts.

Moderators and Admins have a full complement of stars, no matter how many posts they've made.

Those of you who are designated as Cast Members in your profile get two stars automatically; They will revert to whatever your post count reflects at the end of our production and you become a Forum Member again.

Eventually I'll create some other graphics to represent FCT Board Members, Cast Members, and McDowell Masque participants.
