Auditions are being held September 15th & 16th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the McDowell Arts & Crafts Association building on Main Street in Marion. There are roles for 20+ Men, Women and Chorus members.

This weekend marked the opening of Sylvia, a comedy by A. R. Gurney. Playgoers are spreading the word that this is one funny show, and a "must see" for FCT regulars!

Sylvia is the story of Greg and Kate, who have moved to Manhattan after twenty-two years of child-raising in the suburbs. Greg brings home a dog he found in the park bearing only the name Sylvia on her name tag.

In an effort to improve the theatrical knowledge of our volunteer base, FCT has received a grant from the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina to provide continuing education services.

Classes will be offered throughout the year, with a focus on different age groups and levels of experience.
